Arbor Day Coloring Contest
ArborScape, in partnership with Colorado Tree Coalition, sponsors the annual Colorado Arbor Day Coloring Contest for fifth-grade students statewide. This fun, artistic competition aims to raise appreciation and awareness of the crucial role trees play in the Denver community and our quality of life. We believe education is a vital investment in our future, enabling young learners to contribute to their community. By educating more people on tree care, we hope to preserve, enhance, and renew Denver’s urban canopy for generations to come. Saluting Branches
Saluting Branches is a national organization of arborists dedicated to giving back to veterans and their families by providing volunteer tree and landscaping services at Veteran cemeteries. As a veteran-owned company, ArborScape proudly supports this mission in its outreach to give back. We are always seeking passionate volunteers and sponsors to help purchase trees and services for veterans at rest. We love to serve those who served us.
Colorado Tree Care Sector Partnership
The Tree Care Sector Partnership unites tree companies, suppliers, and educators to enhance forestry and tree care in Colorado. For over 11 years, it has promoted industry alignment, community involvement, and education.
We meet regularly to discuss trends, research, and solutions for tree care and sustainability. ArborScape supports this through our arborist apprenticeship program, educating future arborists. Engaging with these groups, we unite for the betterment of tree care in Denver.
Colorado Arborists & Lawn Care Professionals
At CALCP, our mission is to provide the best tree and lawn care in Colorado. Our Board of Directors, consisting of certified arborists and tree and lawn care professionals, works to offer educational opportunities and support research and legislation.
We use our industry knowledge to make beneficial decisions for Colorado’s landscape and community. Our vision is to keep Colorado green and safe for all.
As of 2024, our owner, David Merriman, was graciously gifted a tremendous honor by Rolling Thunder, Fort Logan’s POW/MIA flag- a flag flown over approximately 160,000 military service people at Fort Logan.
David has led by example and worked diligently in making strides to aid veterans get back on their feet by providing educational resources and work opportunities. In fact, David received the Excellence in Workforce Award by the CO Dept. of Labor & Employment for his dedication to creating a certified apprenticeship program designed to educate the next generation of tree care professionals.
For an event near and dear to his heart, David has also provided time, equipment, and energy into Saluting Branch’s Day of Service for quite a while, thus aiding more veterans and their families throughout the years. He is happy to continue doing so for as long as possible.
