Winter Pruning Begins

Winter tree trimming of fruit trees and other species vulnerable to blight such as,

  • crabapple
  • pear
  • peach
  • apple
  • elm
  • hawthorn

Trimming of these trees will begin January 2nd and commence through the end of February. No need to wait for us to reach out to you if you have already received a free estimate but we will be calling this week to get you on the schedule.

For new customers, now is the time to get the above mentioned trees trimmed. This species are best trimmed in the winter because they are prone to certain diseases such as blight, which luckily, are airborne pathogens, so not active in the winter when the trees are dormant.

It’s important not to let it go to March as warmer weather begins to assert itself again, this causes these trees to emerge from a dormant condition and disqualify it from trimming.

So give us a call! If you need an estimate or just have questions, feel free to call us at 303-806-8733.

Thanks!
